Fertility and Pregnancy

Having a healthy baby is a many people’s dream, however, even for a fertile couple in their twenties having regular unprotected sex, the chance of conceiving each month is only 25 per cent.

Many health practitioners may recommend acupuncture as an adjunct treatment that may assist with IVF treatment. There is continuing research about how acupuncture can assist with the effectiveness of IVF treatment and you should consult your treating practitioner/s about how acupuncture may be able to help you.

Our Techniques
General Acupuncture:  Tiny, single use, sterile needles are gently placed into specific Acupuncture Points in areas in your body’s Meridians.

Nutritional Supplementation:
Mineral deficiencies and excesses have been associated with difficulties falling pregnant.

Heavy Metal Toxicity: Men and women's fertility alike are highly susceptible to being compromised by heavy metals circulating throughout the body. Heavy metal toxicity can also be passed on to the foetus during pregnancy.

Neuro-Linguistic Therapy:
Neuro-Linguistic Therapy is used to help you deal with the emotional stress associated with infertility, pregnancy and birth.

Moxibustion: The dried leaf of the herb mugwort is compressed into a stick and burned at a safe distance from the skin to radiantly warm specific acupuncture points.

Electro-acupuncture: Acupuncture points are gently stimulated with a mild electrical current.

Acupressure/Tuina:  This is a massage technique that uses fingertips and a variety of other implements to facilitate the flow of Qi (energy) through Muscles and Joints.

Cupping:
Glass cups are used to create a vacuum in order to improve circulation, reduce tension and clear fluid congestion.

Chinese Nutritional Supplements: Chinese nutritional supplements may be prescribed, either on their own or alongside other therapies.

Oriental Counselling
: Oriental Counselling applies age-old principles to enhance your conscious understanding of mental and emotional states and their effects on your physical well-being.

Em-Wave Therapy:
Em-wave therapy teaches you how to breathe effectively to increase coherence between the sympathetic and para-sympathetic nervous systems.
